Agreement and accounts
These Terms form an agreement between you and Waves of Joy Consulting, operating TradeRoots. If you act for a company, you confirm authority to bind it. Use accurate account information, protect credentials, use only your authorized access and notify us of suspected misuse. Accounts are personal; do not share passwords or authentication codes. Users must be at least sixteen and have the legal capacity or authorization required in their province.
What TradeRoots provides
TradeRoots provides business operations, service requests, employment opportunities, learning, skill records and apprenticeship tracking tools. Businesses remain responsible for qualifications, licences, permits, employment obligations, safety, supervision, insurance, estimates, contracts, taxes and work quality. Hours and badges are records to assist review; recognition and certification are decided by the relevant authority. We do not employ contractors, perform their work, guarantee reviews or act as an apprenticeship regulator.
Content and company information
You retain your rights in content you provide. You grant us the limited right to host, process, back up and display it to deliver the service and your chosen publication settings. Upload only content you may lawfully use and share. Companies must provide required employee and customer notices and permissions. The Company Data Agreement applies to company-controlled records. Personal passport rights and lawful company record-retention obligations continue after employment ends.
Prices, subscriptions and cancellation
Prices are in Canadian dollars unless expressly stated otherwise; applicable taxes and the complete charge must be disclosed before purchase. A recurring subscription requires a clear confirmation of the price, billing interval and renewal terms before charging. You can request cancellation through account support at info@traderoots.ca. Cancellation stops future renewals according to the purchased terms; mandatory refund and cancellation rights continue to apply. Free access does not authorize future charges. No paid subscription is created merely by accepting these Terms.
Acceptable conduct and reviews
Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Reviews must reflect genuine experience, disclose material relationships and avoid private information, harassment and misleading claims. We may investigate, limit publication, correct clear errors or remove unlawful content. Report disputed content with its location and reasons to info@traderoots.ca. Businesses cannot purchase a right to remove an honest critical review.
Availability, suspension and liability
We maintain and improve the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or error-free records. Keep appropriate copies of records you must retain. We may restrict access to protect people, respond to unlawful use or address a material breach, with notice and an opportunity to resolve it where reasonable. Nothing excludes liability or consumer, privacy, employment or other rights that cannot legally be excluded. We are responsible for obligations imposed on us by applicable law; businesses and users remain responsible for their own work and decisions.
Changes, applicable law and contact
Material changes to these Terms are dated and presented for renewed acceptance before continued account use. They do not retroactively remove accrued rights. Applicable Canadian law and mandatory provincial protections govern; these Terms do not impose foreign arbitration or waive your right to a competent local court or regulator. French and English versions are available before acceptance. Québec users choosing English expressly request it after having access to the French version.
